HEB ISD's Buinger CTE Academy will begin hosting a Fire Academy for high school students, starting in August 2019. Parents and students are invited to attend one of two information nights:

Upon successful completion of the program, students will be eligible to take the Emergency Medical Technician Exam (EMT)

Public Service Endorsement

  • Hurst Fire Department
  • Euless Fire Department
  • Bedford Fire Department
  • Tarrant County College
  • Buinger CTE Academy
  • HEB ISD

Students attend classes at the BCTEA

Requirements

  • Be in the 11th grade in August 2019
  • Eligible to enroll as Dual/CE credit student
  • Willing to commit to a 2-year program
  • Attend club nights and Saturday activities
  • Pass a Physical Fitness and Drug Screening
