Suzuki Strings Students Highlight Talent in Spring Festival
Posted 06/04/2018 09:00AM

We are excited to celebrate our Suzuki students' accomplishments in our culminating event of the school year. The Spring Festival provides Suzuki students an opportunity to work with guest clinicians from across the nation in group class settings. Students who play violin, viola, cello, and bass had classes targeting specific instrument skills with an expert who specializes in that particular instrument. The event culminated with a celebratory concert featuring all instrument areas. This event serves over 250 HEB ISD students enrolled in Suzuki Strings programs across the district. We appreciate the support of Orchestra program director at Central Jr. High, Tara Truex, and Orchestra program director at L. D. Bell, Allison King. We thank the leadership of Visual and Performing Arts Director, Mark Chandler, and the dedication of the HEB ISD Suzuki Strings teachers. The beautiful pictures provided are taken by former Suzuki parent Davis McCown.
